Galena's Golden Rule, my home bred baby, Ginger, went to her first shows this past weekend along with her Dad. She had a very busy week or so prior, coming into heat for the first time, and then, two days before the shows, she was jumped by the neighbor dog. Luckily no damage was done on that, and my wonderful neighbors are now going to invisibly fence in their dog.
On Saturday Ginger did nothing but act like the puppy that she is, but on Sunday, with more girls there to compete against, she got into the groove and ended up taking Winner's Bitch and Best of Opposite. Wiccan did a wonderful job showing her in her puppy class and arranged to have Dayl Phillip take her in to the breed ring since Wiccan was also handling Nugget, who got a Select on both days. (Sunday HE was the squirrel since there were two girls in standing heat.)
It is such fun to watch my dogs strut their stuff. I am lucky to have a good friend who enjoys the ring as much as Ginger, as I am really not wanting to be in there quite yet.
It has been crazy busy, and a time of healing. I will get back to blogging in the next few days.
